6:05 pm Putting plagues Westwood again

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Lee Westwood has certainly had his share of chances in major championships. Sunday was another one of them that went by the wayside for the Brit.
Despite just one bogey in the final round, Westwood’s 68 wasn’t enough to capture his first career major as he was plagued by putting again. Westwood took 62 putts over the weekend, including 29 on Sunday. That included missing twice from inside 6 feet in his first five holes.
“I have enjoyed playing great for a long time now, but unfortunately when I turn up at majors, when I don’t win one, it’s a disappointing week for everybody it seems; obviously [for] me,” said Westwood, who finished his week at 3 under.
If there was a bight spot for Westwood it’s that he made just two bogeys over the last two rounds.
“I played lovely again,” Westwood said. “Just one of those things.”
But for now, it will be wait ‘till next year for Westwood.

If lee could putt he would have won half a dozen majors by now, the long game is incredible but please don’t resort to the cheaters stick, ( belly putter). There’s always next year.
This guy definitely needs the long wand! I had him for the win this week and watched in horror as he couldn’t shake it in from outside three feet. Ugly, ugly stroke. See a lot of self-denial – he would always look at the green and/or his caddie as if they were misreads. They weren’t – just ugly strokes!!
GET A LONG PUTTER WESTY ,YOU CAN’T MISS WITH THEM . THEY LOOK REALLY COOL.
“If lee could putt he would have won half a dozen majors by now”
get a grip thats an embarrassing statement
The most sensational driving of the ball I’ve ever seen. If the flat stick had cooperated he’d have won the PGA by 5-6 strokes.
He putted well the past few years but then when it mattered there he chipped terribly.
Sorted out the chipping, so he has the perfect game? Nope he can’t hole putts now. Feel sorry for the guy, it’s a cruel game.
