Round 3: Open Championship
July 21 2012
For three days, conditions at the British Open have been benign.
That could be about to change in Sunday’s final round.
While the forecast is calling for partly sunny skies and dry conditions, the wind is finally expected to blow. The wind is expected out of the south and southwest at 10-15 mph and increasing to 15-20 through the afternoon with gusts as high as 25-30 mph.
So far, wind has not been a factor and players have taken advantage of the calm, soft conditions. There are 17 players under par and 24 in all at par or better through the first three rounds.
